Goat milk is better when compared to cow milk. It's a better source of protein, has less sugar and contains more nutrient such as vitamin A, Vitamin B, phosphorus and calcium amongst others. It's also am easier milk for babies to digest as it contains lesser allergenic protein.

I once read that goat milk is more nutritious than cow milk but I'm not sure how much of it we have in the Nigerian market.

Goat milk is richer than cow milk with more protein and much more calcium per volume. However, cow produces far more quantity of milk, hence more readily available than goat milk which is more expensive. This is perhaps why cow milk has been more favoured for thousands of years.
